Bucket list Paris: the city of love

Paris’ charm is legendary and not without a reason. Cosy cafés. Hidden streets. Beautiful boutiques. World-class museums. Romantic gardens. Fairytale-like buildings. Famous restaurants. Paris is elegant, fashionable, confident and inspiring. Everywhere you go.

This city has so much to offer. Which is why I had to make a list of what I needed to do, see, eat and experience. With this bucket list, you’ll be able to enjoy every must-see Paris has to offer!

Must-sees in Paris

Visit the Notre Dame
Visit this must-see in Paris: the Notre Dame. This beautiful cathedral is incredibly famous (remember the book and the movie: The Hunchback of Notre Dame). Don’t miss it. If you climb to the top, you have one of the greatest views of Paris.
Admire the Mona Lisa in the Louvre museum
You cannot go to Paris and not see the Mona Lisa. It is almost obligatory 😉 But do take into account that all those tourists will want a selfie with the Mona Lisa and, by doing so, will stand right in front of her. And don’t forget to look at all the other beautiful pieces in this museum. It’s impressive!
Wander around the Jardin des Tuileries
Leave the Louvre museum and be impressed by the beauty of the Tuileries Garden (Le Jardin des Tuileries). Enjoy the sunshine, the fresh air and relax after your visit to the Louvre.
Climb the stairs of the Sacré-Coeur
Do not miss this! It is a beautiful building. And once you’re at the top of the stairs, you’ll have a breath-taking view of Paris. A street musician playing in the background whilst you can watch the world go by.
Discover the hidden streets of Montmartre
Explore the streets of Montmartre. A world-famous quarter. Van Gogh and Renoir both used to live here. And it is still known for its artistic flavour, including its shops and cafés.
Visit the Catacombs
Walk down the 91 steps and discover the underground Paris.
Plan a day trip to Versailles
I love visiting a glorious and stunning castle any day. To dream about fairytales. If you love doing this too, you have to visit the palace of Versailles.

Fun things to do in Paris

Get a portrait in Montmartre
If you don’t fancy all the stairs to the Sacré-Coeur, take a little de-tour and you will meet lots of artists who will ask if they can paint your portrait. Very touristy, but still fun.
Enjoy a High Tea
Would you like to spoil yourself? Treat yourself to a High Tea in Paris. Go to Nina’s if you like pink, girly and Marie Antoinette. Or for the perfect Parisian High Tea, visit Hotel Plaza Athénée.
